Alison Black's work

Alison is a Bristol based artist. She is influenced by the abstract expressionists of the 20 century and primitivism. Her work also references film and literature. Alison says that she doesn't like to explain too much about the painting as everybody has their own narrative for them. She's interested in how different people repond to the work and how they interpret them.

Alison's been exhibiting her work for around 6 years, and for the past year has been working as a full time painter.
