Drawing and Applied Arts
Saturday, 18 June 2005 – Thursday, 23 June 2005
University of the West of England, Bristol
Work presented by graduating students from the BA (Hons) degree in Drawing and Applied Arts at UWE Bristol.
"Diverse in outcomes and application, all of the work engages in drawing as its central activity and as such reflects how a new generation of visual artists are questioning, inventing and most importantly creating within this tradition. Having the skills to make their ideas real, combined with appropriate social and professional awareness, makes these graduates intelligent and responsible practitioners whose creative energies will contribute much to the world in which we live. As educators, we have learnt as much from them as hopefully they have from us, and their tangible sense of expectation, excitement and energy is infectious. We wish them all the very best for the future."
Dr. Nigel Hurlstone, on behalf of the Drawing and Applied Arts staff.
